3. How can I buy Ethereum with Freewallet?

   There are 2 main methods to buy Ethereum via Freewallet: you can buy ETH through the widget above and you can buy ETH inside the wallet. Below you can see instructions on how to do this for each version.

How to buy Ethereum in the web wallet

In this case, Freewallet will be the wallet used by default. For the web version, all you need to do is to log into the wallet, go to the “Buy with a card” tab, select Ethereum, select the currency you are going to pay for it with (USD, EUR, etc.), and enter the amount. Here you can also choose who will be the payment provider for the transaction - Moonpay or Simplex. After you click “Buy”, you’ll be redirected to the page of the payment provider, where you will need to go through the verification steps and enter your card details in order to proceed with the payment.

How to buy Ethereum in the mobile multicurrency wallet (Crypto Wallet)

The process is basically the same as for the web version, except that the tab is simply called “Buy” here instead of “Buy with a card”.

How to buy Ethereum in the dedicated Ethereum wallet

Just click the “Buy” tab to enter the sum and proceed with verification and payment. As we said earlier, in this case the default payment provider will be Simplex. Ethereum wallet is available for IOS and Android.

How to buy Ethereum through the widget

If you want to buy Ethereum through the widget above, all you need to do is to enter the amount and enter your Ethereum wallet address. After you click “Continue”, you will be redirected to Simplex, our payment provider, where you’ll be able to enter your card details and proceed with the payment. The verification process will also take place there.

1. What are the differences between buying Ethereum through the widget and buying Ethereum in the wallet?

   If you are using the widget, you’ll need to enter your wallet address yourself. It doesn’t have to be The Freewallet Family wallet. Also, if you are using the widget, your default payment provider will automatically be Simplex.

   If you buy Ethereum inside Freewallet, you don’t need to enter your wallet address, this will be done automatically. Freewallet will be the wallet used by default.

   If you are using the web wallet or mobile multicurrency wallet, you’ll be able to choose between Simplex and Moonpay as your payment providers. If you are using the mobile Ethereum wallet, the default provider will be Simplex.

2. How long does it take to buy Ethereum using Freewallet?

   Taking into account the time required for verification, the purchase process may take from 30 minutes to a few hours.

3. What are the fees?

   We apply reasonable fees for transactions: 8%, minimum $11.

4. What are the limits on how much I can buy?

   There are limits that depend on the payment provider. If you buy cryptocurrency via the widget above, your payment provider will be Simplex. If you buy crypto in the web wallet or mobile multicurrency wallet (Crypto Wallet), you can choose between Simplex and Moonpay. If you are using the dedicated Ethereum wallet, the default provider will be Simplex.

   For Simplex, the limits are $20000 per day and $50000 per month including fees. The minimum amount is $50. Hence, these are the limits on how much you can buy if you are using the widget or the dedicated Ethereum wallet, as well as if you are using the web version / mobile multicurrency wallet version and choose Simplex as your payment provider there.

   For Moonpay, the limits depend on the account level, which is issued in accordance with the degree of account verification. You can find more information on account levels and their respective limits here. Hence, if you are using the web wallet or mobile multicurrency wallet and have chosen Moonpay as your payment provider, the purchase limits will depend on your account level.

   Please note that daily and monthly limits are counted not as calendar day and month, but as 24-hour and 31-day periods from the date of purchase, respectively.

5. Can I buy cryptocurrency without verification?

   To get crypto, you have to prepare some personal information. We are required to take these precautions to comply with “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and “Anti-Money Laundering” (AML) regulations. We will use your data for verification purposes only. Buying cryptocurrency without verification is not possible.
