0x80004005 와이파이 - 0x80004005 waipai

I am developing a UWP app in C# and I have attached a handler for Unhandled exceptions that sends us the unhandled exceptions so that we can diagnose them).

I am receiving a large amount of

System.Exception - Unspecified error (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004005)

without any stacktrace nor other additional information.

This has never happened locally in debug, but only in production for real users, that never complained about this problem, so I guess this seems to be a silent error that may not affect the users.

Anyway, I am a little bit uneasy about leaving this issue unsolved.

How can I find the culprit of this issue?

Has anyone ever bumped into this issue before?

Checking it on the Microsoft Support, i found 2 references that are very distinct about the 0x80004005.

The first was about Windows XP Ativation, that would indicate that the Windows was not activated properly - that message could still be the same on Windows 10, but the microsoft page was not enought to accert that.

Another reference though was about a security release from Windows Update (on Windows 10) that had the same error code (for PC's without the update KB3087040); seems to be more likely.

Without a proper error or exception it will be close to impossible to resolve or attempt to answer.

In the past when faced with a similar issue (local ok, dev ok but production fails) my solution and that of many other developers is to narrow it down and assert where is the exception being thrown in the app.

hypothesis: If the exception wasn't handle we should have seen the app failing - potentially it is encapsulated in a catch statement.

To begin we need to add some logging you could use log4net

If the hypothesis is correct - add a logging in each and every catch statement in your app. Depends on the scale of your app - this will take some time to debug.

Hopefully the catching and logging will give you an insight and resolve your issue.

Also could add logging where a resource its been accessed.

I've reinstalled windows 10 twice and the error still remains, I would like to get this fixed, any help would be appreciated. Process to get this error messages is to navigate to Network Connections and Diagnose this connection (Ethernet and Wifi ).

Wifi manages to stay stable but is low performance.

Clicked WiFi bars in System Tray, then "Troubleshoot" then got the message: An unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue.

Here are some steps I have tired:

1. Tried disabling and re-enabling WiFi adapter (still doesn't work)
2. In network adapters pressed "Diagnose", got: An error occurred while loading the troubleshooter
3. Ran sfc /scannow from elevated Command Prompt - completed with no repairs needed
4. I've tried resetting my TCP/IP in command prompt useing netsh int ip reset and got a single failed reset.netsh int ip reset

I keep trying the same things as listed above, hoping something will just magically work, but it's proven unsuccessful. I've done everything I could possibly think of.

인터넷을 설치를 할 때 많은 분들이 무선공유기를 많이 설치를 합니다.   인터넷 공급회사에 따라서  무선공유기를 설치를 하면 별도의  비용을 받는 경우도 있지만 무료로 설치를 하여주는 경우도 많습니다.

하지만  인터넷 회사에서 설치를 하여주지를 않았을 경우에는  개인적으로 설치를 하는 경우도 잇습니다.   요즘에는 많은 분들이  스마트폰을 이용을 하기 때문에  집에서  와이파이가 되지를 않으면 상당히 불편합니다.

처음에 우선 인터넷 회사에서 설치를 하여주는 공유기를 이용을 할 때는  사용자가 별도의 조작을 하지 않았다면  별도의 와이파이 비밀번호 찾기 작업을 할 필요 없이 무선공유기에 표시가 되어 있기 때문에  해당 비번을 입력을 하여 주시면 됩니다.

무선 공유기 위쪽 또는 아래쪽을 보시면  무선랜 암호 또는 강조 표시된 글자가  와이파이 비밀번호입니다.  해당 비번을 입력을 하시면  와이파이를 이용을 할 수가 있습니다.

보통 이렇게  인터넷 회사에서 설치를 하여준  공유기는 이렇게  와이파이 비밀번호 찾기를 쉽게 할 수가 있습니다.

그리고  개인적으로 설치한 무선공유기의 와이파이 비밀번호는  우선  제조사 사용 설명서  초기 비번이 있습니다. 해당 번호를 입력을 하시면 됩니다. 개인적으로 구입한  공유기도 요즘에는  외부에  초기비번이 표시가 되어 있는 경우가 많습니다.  대부분 시리얼 번호가 중에 강조표시가 되어 있다면 해당 번호가 초기 와이파이 비밀번호인 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 사용자가 따로  와이파이 비밀번호를 설정을 하였다면   공유기 관리자 모드로 접속을 해서  확인을 해야 합니다.

보통  초기 관리자 비번은 "admin"입니다. 하지만 관리자 비번까지 변경을 하였다면   이 글에서는  확인을 할  수는 방법을 제시를 할 수가 없습니다.

먼저 컴퓨터는 정상적으로  무선랜카드를 이용을 해서  인터넷을 사용을 하고 있고   스마트폰이 와이파이에 연결이 안 되어 있는 경우에 비번을 찾는 방법에 대해서 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

설명의 기준은 윈도우7입니다.  다른 윈도우 버전도 크게 틀지는 않을 것입니다.  작업표시줄에 있는 무선 네트워크 아이콘을 클릭을 하여주세요!

그러면  현재 연결된 무선 네트워크를 확인을 할 수가 있습니다.  연결된  네트워크를  선택을 하고 오른쪽 클릭을 하여주세요!

그리고 속성 메뉴를 클릭을 하여주세요!

네트워크 속성 상자가 열립니다. 그러면  보안 탭을 선택을 하시고 문자 표시 항목을 체크를 하면 현재 연결된 공유기 와이파이 비밀번호를 확인을 할 수가 있습니다.

이렇게 컴퓨터가  무선랜카드를 이용을 해서 연결이 되어 있는 경우에는  어렵지 않게 와이파이 비밀번호 찾기를 할 수가 있지만 유선 랜카드로 연결이 되어 있는 경우에는   공유기 관리자 모드로 접속을 해서 공유기 와이파이 비밀번호를 찾아야 합니다.

어떻게  찾기 작업을 하는지 알아보도록 하겠습니다. 해당 설명의 기준도 윈도우7이지만 다른 윈도우에서도 동일하게 적용이 됩니다. 

윈도우키 + R 키를 동시에 눌러주세요!  그리고 "cmd"를 입력을 하여주세요!그리고 확인을 클릭을 하여주세요!

명령프롬프트 창이 열리면 "ipconfig/all"을 입력을 하고 엔터를 눌러주세요!

네트워크 정보가 나옵니다. 그중에서 기본 게이트웨이 정보를 확인을 하여주세요!

해당 아이피 주소를 인터넷 주소창에 입력을 하고 엔터를 눌러주세요!

그러면   관리자 화면이 나옵니다.  사용자 암호를 입력을 하여주세요! 보통 "admin"으로 설정이 되어 있는 경우가 많습니다.

만약 모르는 경우에는  제조사로 전화를 해서 문의를 해야 합니다.

암호를 입력을 하였다면 로그인을 하여주세요!

각 공유기 제조사별로 관리자 화면이 차이가 있지만  무선설정과 같은 메뉴가 있을 것입니다. 해당 메뉴를 클릭을 하여주세요!

무선 보안 설정 메뉴를 클릭을 하여주세요!

그러면  공유키 항목이 있을 것입니다.  해당 항목에 있는  번호가 와이파이 비밀번호입니다.   원하는 비번이 있다면 입력을 하고  확인을 클릭을 하시면 됩니다.
